Russian freestyler Anastasia Tatallina has expressed her desire to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games and has appealed to the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) with this proposal. This happened after Russian athletes were excluded from participating in competitions under the auspices of FIS since 2022 due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In her appeal, Tatallina published a photo on Instagram with banners stating her desire to return to the Olympic Games and compete for a gold medal. It is noted that the athlete herself is associated with the CSKA military club and she has expressed support for Russia's military actions in Ukraine, like other Russian athletes who received 'neutral' status from ISU to qualify for the Olympics 2026. Accordingly, the question arises whether a decision will be made regarding Tatallina's participation in the competitions, given her actions and stance on the conflict in Ukraine.
