Producer Yuriy Nikitin talked about his own earnings
Ukrainian producer Yuriy Nikitin commented for the first time on the earnings from one of the most successful music projects in recent years — the song «Plakala» by the band KAZKA. In an interview with Slava Dyomin, he explained why he cannot name the exact income from the composition that has gathered over a billion streams on various platforms.
How much did the song «Plakala» earn?
During the conversation, the host suggested that the hit might have brought millions of dollars to the production center. However, Yuriy Nikitin did not confirm the stated amounts.
According to him, estimating the profit is not easy, as streaming income comes in over many years and depends on the geography of the listeners.
«One of the key factors for monetization is where the streams come from. American streams can differ from Ukrainian streams by ten times,» the producer explained.
Nikitin also emphasized that he does not remember the exact figures and is not ready to mention the specific income from the composition.
How Yuriy Nikitin earns now
The producer noted that he continues to work with artists and is simultaneously launching new projects.
According to him, the sources of income have not fundamentally changed even after moving to the USA. At the same time, he avoided answering the question about his personal monthly earnings.
«I experience different times, and in different times I earn different amounts of money. I wouldn't particularly want to talk about it in an interview,» Nikitin said.
How the producer lives after moving to the USA
Yuriy Nikitin said that he currently lives in a rented house in the USA and has loans, like most Americans.
At the same time, he believes that not all expenses in America are higher than in Ukraine. According to him, food products can cost about the same or even cheaper, while housing rent, health insurance, and car insurance are more expensive.
The producer added that he does not like to publicly discuss personal finances, as he is more interested in professional and creative topics than daily expenses or income levels.
Earlier, singer ONUKA revealed how she earns and how much she spends on living in 2026.
