According to glavcom.ua: The Swiss alpine skiing team has suffered a serious loss: the team's star, Corinne Suter, was injured during training in St. Moritz. The incident occurred on Wednesday when the athlete fell during downhill training. The skier will have to suspend training for four weeks.

As a result of the injuries, the athlete was diagnosed with a tear of the muscle fibers in the area of the left ankle, a bruise of the left knee joint, and a non-displaced fracture in the back of the right foot. Treatment will be conservative, without the need for surgical intervention.

In addition to Suter, other athletes in the team have also suffered injuries. This may impact Switzerland's participation in upcoming events, particularly at the 2026 Olympic Games, which will take place in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Sports injuries always generate concern for fans and the coaching staff, but they are an unavoidable part of any sport. It is important to closely monitor the recovery process and follow the doctors' recommendations for a quick and successful return of the athletes to the tracks.
