The Rada supported Zelensky's project on NABU and SAP
On Thursday, July 31, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the law on restoring the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. The bill was supported by 331 people's deputies, reported the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak.
'Excellent voting for the President's bill on the independence of NABU and SAP. We have a great civil society, wonderful youth that President Volodymyr Zelensky hears. There is a quick dialogue between power and society. This is true democracy, where people's opinions are heard, specific steps are taken, and reactions are made. Thank you to the deputies for voting. The winners are all, and first of all – democratic Ukraine,' Yermak emphasized.
According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the voting of deputies by factions looks like this:

- 'Fatherland' – 4

- 'For the Future' – 11
- 'Voice' – 16
- 'Trust' – 17
- 'Restoration of Ukraine' – 9
- Non-faction – 15
There were no votes 'against' or 'abstained.' The deputies also supported a proposal for the urgent signing of the bill, already signed by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, and the signing from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is now awaited.
Committee Recommendation
Recall that the law enforcement Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine previously recommended to consider the President's bill on NABU and SAP immediately as a basis and in general. The document received unanimous support without changes in the registered text.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the law on the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. The voting, where 331 people's deputies expressed support for the bill, took place without 'against' or 'abstained' votes. The signing of the law is expected from the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
