After the meeting, the parties continued their communication over a joint dinner. Reuters learned what Trump treated Zelensky to, reports 'Glavkom'.
What Trump offered at the dinner to Zelensky
This time, Donald Trump decided to abandon the traditional beef of official dinners. The main dish was chicken prepared according to a special recipe.
The dinner consisted of three courses - an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert. This was evidenced by golden cards with the menu placed on the tables before the lunch began.
- Appetizer: autumn green salad with crispy artichokes, lemon vinaigrette, and sliced fennel;
- Main course: roasted chicken with potatoes, pea pod fricassée, and arugula with rosemary aioli;
- Dessert: McIntosh apples and caramel chiffon with clementine ice cream and blueberry sauce.
Zelensky and Trump discussed the ceasefire
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated during a press conference that Ukraine and Russia need to stop hostilities at their current positions, and after that, move on to negotiations for long-term peace. Journalists asked whether they discussed territories with Trump, and he replied: 'Territorial issues are very delicate... and really the most difficult issue... Our position is that, look, first, we need a ceasefire. So we need to sit down, talk, and understand where we stand,' Zelensky noted.
