The market for new trucks fell by 18%: who leads in times of decline
Decline of the new truck market in Ukraine
According to ХВИЛЯ: The market for new trucks in Ukraine has experienced a significant decline at the end of the year. In November 2025, 982 vehicles were sold, which is 18% less than in October 2025. Additionally, the demand for new commercial vehicles decreased by 10% compared to November of last year. This drop in demand indicates the challenges the market is facing in the current conditions.
Sales Leaders
The leader in sales in November was the manufacturer MAN, which sold 118 units. In second place was the brand RENAULT with 117 sold vehicles. The third position was occupied by FIAT, demonstrating sales of 88 cars. CITROEN ranked fourth with 85 vehicles, while the fifth place was taken by MERCEDES-BENZ, which sold 79 vehicles.
Since the beginning of 2025, 10,835 new trucks have been registered in Ukraine; however, the market has contracted by 6% year-on-year. Among the factors affecting sales, it is important to note the restrictions on extending queues for trucks, limited to once every 60 days. This may impact sales dynamics and the overall market state.
Thus, despite the challenges, certain brands continue to demonstrate stable results during the decline, indicating their competitiveness in the market for new commercial vehicles.
The decrease in demand for new trucks in Ukraine may be related to economic difficulties, particularly the restrictions on the circulation of commercial vehicles and the overall economic situation in the country.
This raises concerns about the future development of the commercial transport market in Ukraine, as a decrease in sales volumes may lead to reduced investment in this sector. Further market trends will depend on economic stability and the ability of transport enterprises to adapt to new conditions.
