Families of Fallen Athletes to Receive 100,000 Hryvnias Each

According to НОК: An event titled "With Memory in the Hearts of Ukrainians" was held at the Olympic House to commemorate athletes who lost their lives. During the ceremony, families of five athletes-Alina Perehudova, Ivan Kononenko, Roman Polishchuk, Kateryna Troian, and Viktoriia Ivashko-were presented with commemorative badges inscribed "Dedicated to the Angels of Sport." The gathering brought together the victims' relatives, coaches, colleagues, friends, and members of the Olympic community.

Additionally, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, together with its partners, will provide financial assistance of 100,000 hryvnias to the families of the deceased. Ukraine has lost more than 600 athletes and coaches, a significant blow to the nation. Commenting on the occasion, Vadym Guttsait stated:
