Russia attacked critical infrastructure in Volyn and shelled Kherson and Chernihiv: casualties reported
Attack on critical infrastructure and consequences of aggression
According to Главком: On the night of December 26, Russian terrorists carried out an attack on a critical infrastructure facility in the Volyn region. This aggression was a continuation of a series of shellings that occurred on December 25, when Kherson and Chernihiv were attacked. As a result of the shelling of the central part of Kherson, specifically the market, trading points were destroyed, leading to numerous damages.
In Chernihiv, one man died as a result of the enemy strike. It was on this day, when Ukrainians were celebrating Christmas, that Russian troops struck again at residential buildings in the city. As a result of the enemy drone hit, a five-story apartment building, neighboring high-rises, and cars were damaged. Unfortunately, there are injuries, and one civilian casualty has been reported.
Serious consequences of the attacks
The attack on the assets of Kernel company that occurred on the night of December 25 also led to serious consequences: an oil storage tank was damaged, causing a fire. According to Ivan Rudnytsky, fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries during the attack on the critical infrastructure facility in the Volyn region.
'The enemy cynically struck at a market where people were preparing for the festive days, highlighting the cruelty and shamelessness of the aggressor.' - Oleksandr Prokudin
Thus, the last few days have witnessed new acts of violence by Russian forces, who continue to terrorize Ukrainian citizens, harming both infrastructure and the lives of civilians.
These events underscore the continuity of aggression from Russia and its impact on the civilian population of Ukraine, especially during the festive days when Christmas and other important moments are traditionally celebrated. The increase in attacks on critical infrastructure facilities indicates the enemy's strategy aimed at destabilizing the country and causing maximum suffering to peaceful residents.
