According to Главком: Russian units are rotating troops on the Huliaipole front in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, according to Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces. This movement signals preparations for renewed offensive operations. The assault force expected to operate in this area will include:

• 57th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade
• 60th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade
• 55th Naval Infantry Division of Russia's 5th Army

These forces are scheduled to be active throughout June 2026.

Voloshyn stated that

“the enemy is now trying to replace its assault grouping as quickly as possible, particularly on the Huliaipole axis.”

He emphasized that the newly arriving units have been assigned objectives aimed at breaking through Ukrainian defensive lines.

“They have been given new tasks, and these tasks are set deep within the defense of Ukraine's Defense Forces. For example, to capture certain positions that lie deep in the defense. So, all of this indicates that enemy activity will continue in the summer,”

Voloshyn added.

The Russian grouping consists of the 57th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, the 60th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, and the 55th Naval Infantry Division, all part of Russia's 5th Army.
