Трагічні наслідки обстрілів: загиблі та поранилі в Запоріжжі й Харкові.

Attacks Target Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv

According to Главком: On February 3, Russian forces struck a residential district in Zaporizhzhia, killing two people and wounding seven others. The victims were an 18-year-old boy and girl. Three of the wounded in Zaporizhzhia were hospitalized, including a 15-year-old girl who is in critical condition.

In a separate attack the same day, Russian forces targeted a residential high-rise in Kharkiv's Saltivka district using a Shahed drone. The strike hit the fifth floor, igniting a fire that spread down to the second floor. Seven people were injured in Kharkiv-five women and two men. All Kharkiv victims suffered blast injuries and stress reactions, with their conditions assessed as moderate. An 85-year-old woman required hospitalization.

Record Use of Aerial Bombs

These attacks occurred against a backdrop of intensifying Russian aerial bombardment. In January 2026 alone, Russian aviation dropped over 5,700 guided aerial bombs-a record monthly high since the conflict began. This surpassed the previous peak of over 5,300 bombs in October 2025. A single-day record was also set on January 18, 2026, when 316 bombs were dropped.

“Tragically, an 18-year-old boy and girl were killed. Three people are being taken to the hospital by medics. One 15-year-old girl is in extremely serious condition,” stated Mayor Ivan Fedorov.

The situation in Ukraine remains dire, with persistent attacks on civilian infrastructure causing significant casualties and destruction. The sharp increase in guided aerial bomb usage points to a concerning escalation in hostilities and intensified military action by Russian forces. These developments have raised alarm both within Ukraine and internationally, underscoring the urgent need for a global response to the worsening humanitarian crisis triggered by the war. The conflict continues to devastate cities far from the front lines, highlighting the widespread threat to civilian life.
