Russia distorted the stadium in Mariupol: a giant propaganda star appeared on the field
According to glavcom.ua: They painted a huge red star on the stadium's lawn, which is the official logo of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the youth militarized movement 'Yunarmiya'. This star occupies almost the entire area of the field and is clearly visible even from satellite images and on Google maps.
In temporarily occupied Mariupol, Russian troops distorted the football field, turning it into a tool of propaganda. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to Tribuna.
It can also be seen that besides the star, they depicted three words: 'Duty, Honor, Courage'.
The International Canoe Federation (ICF) granted neutral status to members of the Russian military club CSKA - now they can participate in the world slalom canoeing championship. In particular, the Russian Alsu Minazova received neutral status.
Also, two members of the Russian military club CSKA - Pavel Kotov and Alexander Kharlamtsov - received neutral status. Kharlamtsov also holds the rank of private in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Conclusion: In Mariupol, Russian troops used the football field to display military symbols, which is part of their propaganda activities. Such actions provoked outrage in Ukrainian society. At the same time, members of the Russian military club CSKA received neutral status from the International Canoe Federation, allowing them to participate in international competitions.
