Russia and the USA are close to an agreement on the war: what Putin's special representative stated
Diplomatic Solution to the Russian-Ukrainian War
Russian President Vladimir Putin's special representative Kirill Dmitriev believes that the USA, Russia, and Ukraine are approaching a diplomatic solution that will help end the conflict. This information is reported by Reuters. Dmitriev noted that a meeting between Trump and Putin, which was postponed, is possible in the future, although the summit this week was canceled due to Russia's refusal to quickly end the war. Trump believes that the meeting was canceled due to a lack of progress in diplomatic agreements.
The Diplomatic Path to Peace
Despite this, Dmitriev emphasizes that it is possible to end the war through diplomacy. He believes that Ukrainian President Zelensky made an important step by agreeing on the definition of the front lines. Dmitriev thinks that dialogue between the USA and Russia should continue, taking into account the interests of both sides.
'I believe that Russia, the USA, and Ukraine are really very close to a diplomatic solution,' he said.
Dmitriev declined to disclose details of meetings in the USA and noted that American sanctions might be accompanied by rising fuel prices at American gas stations.
Previously, Zelensky and Starmer expressed their views on Putin's plans for the winter.
The Russian representative noted that a diplomatic resolution to the conflict is approaching, but there remains the problem of insufficient progress in agreements for holding a meeting between the leaders of the countries. The Ukrainian president has been recognized for agreeing on the front lines, which can be an important step in resolving the conflict.
