The Russian Federation attacked Sumy again with drones

According to glavcom.ua: On Saturday, October 18, Russian forces attacked Sumy with drones for the second time. According to 'Glavkom', this was reported by the acting mayor Artem Kobzar and the head of the regional military administration Oleg Grygorov.

«As a result of the enemy attack today (October 18, ed.), strikes were recorded near educational institutions and railway infrastructure objects», wrote Kobzar.

According to the mayor, as a result of the attack, windows in passenger cars and the station building were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Oleg Grygorov later clarified that the drones hit directly 'the railway infrastructure objects'.

«The enemy is treacherous. Do not ignore air raid signals – it can save lives», the OVA called out.

Previous attacks and reactions

Earlier that day, Russian drones attacked various parts of Sumy. Two people were injured. Enemy drones hit a gas station, railway infrastructure objects, and near educational institutions.

After the attack, rescuers examined the area, discovered fire sources, extinguished them, and provided assistance to local residents.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky explained the logic behind Russian attacks on Sumy, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions, emphasizing the importance of these regions from both military and logistical perspectives.

On Saturday, October 18, Russia attacked the city of Sumy again with drones, leaving damaged windows and buildings. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Earlier that day and within the region, other attacks were recorded during which two people were injured. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky clearly explained the strategy of Russian attacks on these regions.
