According to glavcom.ua: As of Sunday morning, August 17, 2025, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine updated the losses of Russian occupiers.
Russia's losses in the war as of August 17, 2025
The Russian Federation has incurred the following losses in the war with Ukraine as of August 17:
- personnel – about 1,069,950 individuals;
- tanks – 11,116 units;
- armored fighting vehicles – 23,143 units;
- artillery systems – 31,589 units;
- MLRS – 1,468 units;
- anti-aircraft systems – 1,208 units;
- aircraft – 422 units;
- helicopters – 340 units;
- tactical UAVs – 51,528 units;
- cruise missiles – 3,558 units;
- ships – 28 units;
- submarines – 1 unit;
- automotive and tanker vehicles – 58,821 units;
- special equipment – 3,942 units.
The full-scale war in Ukraine has been ongoing for 1271 days.
