Russia Introduces Ideology in the Army: Soldiers Will Study Russophobia
According to the curricula for 2026 published in the magazine 'Army Review', significant changes will occur in the Russian army's military-political training system. In particular, servicemen will study 'Russophobia' as a threat to security, and officers will receive special training to work with former prisoners, reports Verstka.
New ideological courses have been added to the program for ordinary servicemen and contract soldiers. Furthermore, there will be a separate lecture for the military about 'the involvement of Western countries in the development of nationalism and Russophobia in Ukraine'. Attention will also be paid to propaganda activities, including the study of Putin's address to the Federal Assembly and the 'feats of participants in the so-called special operation'.
Special attention will also be given to training officers to work with military personnel who have criminal records or are under criminal prosecution, indicating the problems faced by the command in the Russian army.
