Russia has launched more than 3000 drones and 1300 bombs at Ukraine in a week
In a fresh statement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of a large-scale aerial terror against the country. According to the head of state, Russia has used more than 3100 drones, 92 missiles, and about 1360 bombs to shell Ukrainian territories in recent days.
Zelensky emphasized that this aggression has caused panic among residents of many cities in Ukraine and led to hundreds of casualties. He also called on local authorities to provide proper assistance to the affected and continue the fight against the terrorist threat.
In particular, Zelensky noted: 'Every day, the Russians are killing our people. Yesterday, a child was killed in a church in Kostiantynivka by an aerial bomb.'
In the context of international reaction, the president called for further sanctions and other pressure measures on Russia, as well as for holding accountable the buyers of Russian oil, who finance the war in eastern Ukraine. Such actions, according to Zelensky, could become a step towards peace for Europe and accelerate the peace process in the Middle East.
Zelensky also expressed gratitude to all countries and organizations that support Ukraine in this difficult time and called for even greater unity and solidarity in the fight against aggression from Russia.
