According to hvylya.net: The Russian troops failed to capture the village of Torsk in the Lyman territorial community in Donetsk region by July 1. The general military army of Russian troops planned to occupy the Lyman direction, but first, they needed to capture the village of Torsk.
'They have several times already reported that they captured the village of Torsk. They showed videos with several soldiers holding the Russian flag. It was their momentary joy. After that, a commission arrived and discovered that Torsk had not been captured at all, and, accordingly, heads of their command rolled,'
said the head of the communication department of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Rostislav Yashchishin.
New attempt to capture by July 1
The officer explained that due to the failure of previous attempts, the Russians were given a new task - to capture the village of Torsk by July 1. Unfortunately for the occupiers, their attempts were thwarted by the defense forces of Ukraine, who destroyed a significant part of the enemy's forces using drones. According to Yashchishin, another attempt to capture was prevented by August 1.
The defense forces continue to act to thwart the enemy's plans in the Lyman direction, doing everything necessary to protect the territory of Ukraine.
