Russians struck a drone at the railway in Chernihiv: the train driver injured

At about 9:45, the Russians attacked the transport infrastructure in Chernihiv with a drone. As a result of the attack, the train driver received shrapnel wounds, and the rolling stock was damaged. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the strike of the UAV on the railway.

Attacks on railway infrastructure

It should be noted that attacks on Ukraine's railway infrastructure have become more frequent, and Russian Shahed drones strike with high accuracy, threatening commercial and military transportation.

Since the middle of summer 2025, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine's railway infrastructure, using Shahed drones. According to the head of "Ukrzaliznytsia" Oleksandr Pertzovskyi, strikes on locomotives and substations are aimed at creating panic among passengers and harming the economy, rather than military cargo. Modernized drones allow the Russian Federation to hit civilian infrastructure precisely, increasing the effectiveness of attacks.

During yesterday's drone attack in Chernihiv, the railway rolling stock was damaged, and the train driver was injured.
