According to ХВИЛЯ: On January 9, Russian occupiers launched a combined missile-drone strike on Kyiv, resulting in significant destruction, fires, and human casualties. The attack occurred around 4 a.m., when the city suffered a powerful shelling. As a result of this strike, four people were killed, and 13 were injured.

29 people were evacuated from a three-story residential building. Among the injured were medics who responded to emergency calls. One medic was killed, and four were injured in the Darnytsia district. Eight injured medics were hospitalized, of which three are medical workers.

Impact on infrastructure and population

The attack also caused damage to Kyiv's critical infrastructure, leading to disruptions in electricity and water supply in some areas of the city. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the situation remains complicated, and rescue services are working to mitigate the consequences of the strike.
