Russian athletes will not go to the 2026 Paralympics: IPC confirms decision

According to glavcom.ua: Russian athletes will not be able to participate in the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games in Italy in any sport. This information was announced by the press service of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
According to updated information, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) voted to exclude athletes from Belarus and Russia from participating in the qualifying competitions for the 2026 Paralympics.
The International Biathlon Union confirmed that the Russian and Belarusian biathlon federations are suspended from competitions according to the decision of the IBU congress. It was also decided that Russians can participate in luge competitions, but their participation in the Paralympic Games is impossible.
Russian and Belarusian athletes are allowed to participate in certain competitions, however, their qualification for the Winter Paralympic Games is not possible due to the decision of the IPC and international federations.
