Russian MiG-31 Violated Estonia's Border: NATO's Response
Russian MiG-31 fighter jets did not violate Estonia's airspace, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The aircraft conducted a planned flight without crossing the borders of other states, flying over neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.
However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that this violation is part of Russia's campaign to destabilize Western countries. The Lithuanian defense minister recalled a case with Turkey, where a Russian plane was shot down for violating airspace. Donald Trump promised to hold a briefing regarding the incident and reveal more details about the situation.
“The flight path of the jets stretched over neutral waters of the Baltic Sea at a distance of more than three kilometers from the island of Vaindloo”
“NATO's border in the northeast is being tested with a certain purpose. We need to act seriously. Turkey set an example 10 years ago. There is something to ponder”
According to the Ministry of Defense, the incident involving the MiG-31 fighters highlighted the necessity of adhering to international norms and regulations in the airspace to prevent similar incidents in the future.
