Russian strike on the award ceremony: Hero pilot Volodymyr Svyatnenko killed

On Saturday, November 1, 2025, a tragedy occurred at the parade ground, where Ukrainian soldier Volodymyr Svyatnenko was killed as a result of a Russian missile strike deep behind the lines. This event took place during the award ceremony, where the best pilots and infantry of the brigade were gathered. The military was assembled in an open area, where a ballistic missile struck. In response to the missile-drone strike in the Dnipropetrovsk region on November 1, the communities of Nikopol, Pishchanska, Pokrovska, Marhanetska, and Chervonohryhorivska were affected. Among the victims of the combined strike were dead and injured servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The command stated that law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation and checking the circumstances of the event.
