Fraud of 2 million hryvnias under the guise of purchasing "Mavic" drones - three accomplices have been notified of suspicion
The Podilskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv reported suspicion against a 30-year-old woman, her mother, and an acquaintance in fraudulent misuse of funds intended for the purchase of drones.
It was revealed that the organizer of the fraudulent scheme acted in a Telegram channel as a reliable supplier of drones from abroad, searching for potential buyers among volunteers.
Involving her mother and an acquaintance, who are individual entrepreneurs, the woman combined them in the scheme. In early 2024, buyers transferred over 2 million hryvnias to the accounts of these enterprises, expecting to receive "Mavic" drones.
However, neither the man who wanted to support drones in the Armed Forces nor the private enterprise received the promised drones.
