SAP and NABU uncovered a scheme for embezzling 140 million for the restoration of Donetsk region

According to САП: SAP and NABU caught an organized group that embezzled 140 million UAH intended for the restoration of heating and water supply in Donetsk region. The suspects include an official from the Donetsk Regional State Administration and his accomplices, who neglected schedules and finances in wartime. The group's actions are considered a crime under Ukrainian law.

Chronology of events

In spring-summer 2023, the group members overpaid for equipment and services, and in autumn-winter they settled for them in Sviatohirsk. For the sake of their deceitful craft, they invented acts, delayed the transfer of the facility to the company's balance by three times, and tried to cover their tracks. In total, the budget losses amounted to 140 million. The case is ongoing.
