SAP requires the recovery of 3.3 million UAH from the judge: assets acquired beyond legal income

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to recognize the judge of the Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi District Court's assets acquired over the past two years as unjustified. Among these assets are a 'MERCEDES-BENZ' car, some components of the 'RENAULT ZOE' car's value, and cash in bank accounts totaling more than 3.3 million hryvnias. According to prosecutors, this property was acquired through illegal means.

The state is represented in this court process by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

According to the legislation, if the court recognizes the assets as unjustified and decides to transfer them into state revenue, the person who owns this property may be dismissed from their position. More information about the decision in this case is forthcoming.

The High Anti-Corruption Court, together with the SAP, is considering the lawsuit regarding the assets of the judge of the Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi District Court. In focus are the assets acquired over a short period, uncharacteristic for the official's activities. The court's decision may have significant implications for the participants in the case and the fight against corruption in Ukraine.
