Saudi Arabia launches fifth aid package for prosthetics for Ukrainians worth 3.5 million dollars
The fifth phase of the limb prosthetics project for Ukrainians in Poland has begun. This initiative aims to provide prosthetics to those who have suffered due to military actions, to ease their lives and help restore mobility. The project is implemented with humanitarian aid from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has already provided Ukraine with food, medicine, and power generators.
According to hvylya.net: The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Ukraine, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Barakah, launched the fifth phase of the limb prosthetics project for Ukrainians in Poland, which is implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center from July 14 to 21, 2025. The Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, participated in the project.
Saudi Arabia's participation in humanitarian rescue
The project embodies the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's desire to alleviate the suffering of Ukrainian citizens amid the ongoing war in Ukraine and continues its efforts to mitigate humanitarian consequences. The most important goals of the Saudi project are to provide medical assistance to Ukrainian disabled persons in Poland. At this stage, prosthetics were installed for 20 beneficiaries, necessary measurements for limbs for the next stage were taken. Monitoring of their condition was also carried out, post-prosthetic rehabilitation and medical education of Ukrainian beneficiaries were provided.
As part of this project, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia seeks to lessen the suffering of Ukrainian citizens affected by the war. The initiative involves providing medical assistance and prosthetics to Ukrainian disabled individuals who have lost limbs. The first phase of the project started in September 2024 and the fifth phase is currently ongoing. It is planned that two more phases of the project will be implemented by the end of 2025.
