Ukrainian Intelligence Agencies Identify Eight Russian Commanders Behind Sumy Missile Strike

According to Главком: Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) and Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) have identified the Russian military command responsible for a missile strike on the city of Sumy on April 10, 2026. The attack resulted in 35 fatalities, including two children, and left 125 people wounded, 22 of whom were minors. Approximately 100 civilian infrastructure objects were damaged in the assault.
Two 'Iskander-M' ballistic missiles were used in the attack. According to the SBU and GUR, eight individuals identified as involved in planning and executing this missile strike have been formally notified of suspicion. All are subject to Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns violations of the laws and customs of war. - Anatoly Gorodetsky, Colonel, Chief of Staff of the Center;
- Roman Polushin, Colonel, Commander of the 448th Rocket Brigade;
- Sergey Ponomarev, Colonel, Commander of the 112th Rocket Brigade.
