As a result of the drone strike by the Security Service of Ukraine on the Russian oil terminal port of Primorsk in the Baltic Sea, two tankers registered under the Seychelles flag were damaged. This was reported by Reuters citing two anonymous industry sources.

The agency's sources stated that the affected tankers are Kusto and Cai Yun, both of Aframax type and both registered in the Seychelles. Kusto can carry approximately 700,000 barrels of crude oil.

Suspension of Oil Loading

Due to the SBU attack, loading of oil from the port in Primorsk has been suspended, and it is still unknown whether it has been resumed. This port can process up to 1 million barrels of crude oil per day, making it a key export center for Russian oil and the main port of western Russia.

It was previously reported that yesterday the Security Service of Ukraine launched a drone strike on the Russian port of Primorsk in the Baltic Sea, as a source from 'Glavkom' in the security service announced. As a result of the attacks, there were fires on one of the vessels in the port and on the oil pipeline, and the unloading of oil was also halted. Russian budget losses from the suspension of exports may reach 41 million dollars daily according to estimates.
