The average salary in Ukraine rose to 32,783 UAH in June 2026

The average accrued salary of regular employees in Ukraine in June 2026 was 32,783 UAH. Over the year it increased by 25.4%, and taking inflation into account, according to analysts, by 17%. This is reported by the State Statistics Service.

Average salary in Ukraine in June 2026

The figure of 32,783 UAH is the average before taxes. After deducting 18% personal income tax and 5% military duty, an employee on average receives about 25.2 thousand UAH. The actual amount depends on salary, benefits, and other conditions of specific employment.

In dollar terms, the average salary was approximately 733 dollars. However, this does not mean that most Ukrainians earn this much; the average figure is noticeably lifted by higher salaries in Kyiv and certain sectors.

Where in Ukraine are the highest and lowest salaries

The highest average accrued salary was recorded in Kyiv, 48,393 UAH. Next in the statistics are Luhansk region with 38,143 UAH and Kyiv region with 33,849 UAH.

The lowest average salaries in June were as follows:

• Chernivtsi region, 24,472 UAH;

• Kirovohrad region, 23,882 UAH.

Regional figures should be interpreted cautiously. They show the average salary of regular employees of enterprises, institutions, and organizations, not all population incomes. Results are influenced by the number of enterprises, employment structure, and the share of high-paying professions.

In which sectors do they pay the most

The leader in terms of wages remains the information and telecommunications sector: the average salary here was 77,931 UAH. The lowest figure was recorded in health care and social assistance, 22,274 UAH.

The fastest salary growth over the year was in the manufacturing of vehicles, by 49%, in scientific research and development, by 40.3%, and in education, by 34.5%. This reflects the competition among businesses for talent amid staff shortages.

At the same time, the growth of the average salary does not eliminate the problem of wage arrears. As of July 1, employers owed employees 3.8 billion UAH, which is 10.4% more than a year ago.

It should be recalled that in Ukraine the minimum wage is twice less than in Moldova.
