According to Главком: Sergiy Dayenko has been appointed advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko. He will continue his military service after a brief rehabilitation. The Minister of Internal Affairs confirmed this appointment, emphasizing the importance of Dayenko's experience in management and combat achievements.

Previous Activity

Sergiy Dayenko previously held the position of head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for more than six years. Ihor Klymenko noted that he had a sincere conversation with Sergiy Vasylovych. He emphasized that Dayenko needs a brief recovery after many years of service, in accordance with doctors' recommendations. The Minister also expressed his gratitude for General Dayenko's management experience and his combat achievements, noting that he expects expert support from him.

“I understand and support this desire. I am confident that advice from Dayenko from combat positions will have more practical value,” – Ihor Klymenko.

The appointment of Sergiy Dayenko as advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs underscores the Ukrainian government's strategy to involve experienced military personnel in management structures. In the context of ongoing military aggression, Dayenko's experience, who previously headed the State Border Guard Service, can become an important resource for the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The decision regarding his short-term rehabilitation also indicates the government's commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of servicemen returning to active duty.
