Combat Activity and Enemy Actions
On February 17 alone, 137 combat clashes occurred along the front line. That day, the enemy launched 1 missile strike using 28 missiles, carried out 50 airstrikes, and dropped 109 guided aerial bombs. In total, the enemy employed 5,847 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,538 artillery strikes on populated areas and military positions.
"The birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces carry out combat missions daily at operational and strategic depth, targeting the enemy's fuel, critical, and military-industrial infrastructure, air defense systems, anti-aircraft missile complexes, radars, and more."
Robert Magyar Brovdi
Magyar also noted that while he cannot report on all successes daily, the General Staff provides regular updates, and all available video footage is published on Telegram channels. The commander emphasized preparations for a potential summer offensive by the occupiers, which could begin as early as March. These drone strikes form a key part of Ukraine's strategy to degrade Russian military capabilities ahead of any new ground assault.
The published data on enemy target destruction highlights an intensification of combat and the strategic importance of unmanned systems in modern warfare. Strikes on critical infrastructure, such as energy and military sites, can significantly impact an adversary's ability to sustain combat operations. Given the preparations for a possible offensive, Ukrainian forces are working to diminish the enemy's military potential, which could prove a decisive factor in the conflict's next phase.
