Ukrainian Armed Forces encircled Russian troops near Dobropillia: details of the counterattack

According to glavcom.ua: The defense forces successfully repelled the advance of Russian invaders near Dobropillia and launched a counterattack. Ukrainian defenders surrounded the Russians and reclaimed settlements along the Rubizhne – Zoloty Kolodets – Vesele line, delivering a blow to the core of the Russian advance. Part of the Russian troops that moved furthest north is now cut off from the main forces.

Military expert Kostiantyn Mashovets reported that Russian forces are attempting to unblock their forward units with strikes from the right flank between the villages of Shakhove and Nova Shakhove in the direction of Kucherov Yar. At the same time, Ukrainian forces are actively responding to the attacks. The head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council Andrii Kovalienko emphasized that 'the defense forces succeeded in some aspects in the East,' refuting reports about a breakthrough by Russian troops in the area of Pokrovsk and Dobropillia in Donetsk Oblast.
