Stars refuse to participate in Kvartal: boycott over the scandal involving Mindich

Recently, it became known that some famous artists decided not to participate in the New Year's concert of the studio 'Kvartal 95', which will take place on December 6-7. The reason for this was a scandal involving one of the studio's owners, Timur Mindich, related to corruption schemes in 'Energoatom'. Several artists, including KOLA, the 'Homin' choir, and Nadia Dorofeeva, refused to perform because of this scandalous episode.

The refusals were announced via social networks. For example, the singer KOLA reported on Instagram that she would not perform at the concert, and representatives of the 'Homin' choir and Nadia Dorofeeva also declined to participate in the event.

The administration of the 'Kvartal 95' studio stated that the concerts would still take place without the participation of the artists who refused. They urged viewers to come and enjoy their humor and creativity, which is in no way connected with the scandal that has cast a shadow on their shareholder.

The information about Timur Mindich's involvement in the corruption scandal is full-bodied. He is connected to the investigation of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine in the case of criminal actions in 'Energoatom', where he is suspected of collaborating with contractors for kickbacks. On this matter, the head of the National Palace of Arts 'Ukraine' spoke out in defense of the artists of the 'Kvartal 95' studio and noted their charitable activities under the conditions of war in Ukraine.
