According to glavcom.ua: The Austrian broadcaster ORF presented the stage concept for the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Vienna in 2026. Renowned German specialist Florian Wieder, who is working on this event for the tenth time, was involved in the stage design.

It is planned that in the center of the stage at the Wiener Stadthalle there will be a huge LED screen in the shape of a curved leaf, symbolizing the energy and unity of European culture. This idea was inspired by the artistic movement of the Vienna Secession and the desire to create something extraordinary.

Features of the Stage Design

The stage design is based on an organic leaf, an energetic curved line, and a golden structure. One of the key features is a direct connection between the stage and the green room via a special bridge, allowing artists to walk through the audience during the traditional winner’s parade.

“We will not only provide a visual but also a technological upgrade, using Arri cameras to create a cinematic effect in Hollywood style,” shares the contest organizer.

The semi-finals of the contest are scheduled for May 12 and 14, while the final will take place on May 16. This is not the first time Eurovision is held in Vienna, the last being in 2015. However, this year, some countries decided to boycott the contest due to the decision to allow Israel to participate without a general vote.

In 2026, the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna is expected to feature an impressive stage design based on the symbolism of European unity and cultural energy. The uniqueness of the project lies in the combination of tradition and modernity, giving the contest a special charm and a sense of cinematic magic, thanks to the use of modern technologies and the creative concept of the designers.
