According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian diving champion Sofia Liskun has been excluded from the national team and stripped of all awards after she obtained Russian citizenship. The decision was made by the Diving Federation at an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee.
According to reports, the Federation expressed outrage and condemned Liskun's actions for not notifying about her change of citizenship. The athlete claims that she faced issues and was even forced to seek help from a psychiatrist.
The Federation plans to appeal to international sports institutions demanding to impose a sports quarantine on Liskun and further measures to avoid similar situations in the future.
