Students are required to undergo military training from September 1: conditions and consequences have been named

According to hvylya.net: Starting from September 1, 2025, male students in higher educational institutions in Ukraine will begin military training. This decision is stipulated in the mobilization law 3633-IX, which came into effect last year.

The training will consist of theoretical and practical stages, which will be conducted in higher military educational institutions, military training units, and other universities. For students, this will be mandatory, while for female students it will be voluntary. They will have the option to choose either theoretical training or to undergo practical training, but only in case of not being able to serve in the army.

Successful completion of basic training is significant for budget students who receive a scholarship. After successfully completing the training, students will take a military oath and obtain a military accounting specialty.

The changes will be fully integrated into the curriculum and will be assessed as a separate discipline. The training system will be gradually implemented, initially affecting students who enrolled in educational institutions last year or this year, and will later encompass other students from general secondary schools and colleges.
