According to hvylya.net: At the last meeting of the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Public Utilities on August 26, it was decided to raise electricity tariffs in Ukraine starting from September. The measures will apply to the energy supply of non-household clients, while tariffs for households will remain unchanged.

'This decision will reduce mutual debt burdens and allow preparing the nomenclature of emergency supplies in case of enemy shelling,'

– explained the director of the company 'Smart Electric Networks of Ukraine' Oleksandr Baranyuk.

According to the decision, tariffs will increase by 14% for large industrial consumers and by 23% for medium-sized enterprises. The most significant changes in energy prices are expected in the Kirovohrad, Rivne, and Khmelnytsky regions, while the least change will occur in the Chernihiv, Lviv, and Cherkasy regions.

Government Plans

In the near future, the government plans to review tariffs in border regions starting in November, which may affect the activities of energy companies in Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy regions, as well as the central energy networks of Dnipro.

The current electricity tariff is 4.32 UAH per kWh, however, an increase for households is possible in November after the expiration of benefits. Experts claim that the current electricity price does not reflect the actual costs of energy suppliers.

A decision was made to raise electricity tariffs for non-household consumers in Ukraine starting from September. Hard decisions that may affect the cost of electricity for businesses, but household tariffs for the population will remain unchanged. The government also plans to review tariffs in border regions and possible price increases for citizens in November.
