Ukrainian sources reported that the occupiers are positioned in most areas of Pokrovsk but are unable to encircle the city, only reinforcing their logistics and reinforcements in the southern part of the city. The Russian forces are introducing mortar units and drone operators into the city to complicate Ukrainian communication lines.
The Russian and Ukrainian forces continue combat operations toward Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, although the pace of the occupiers' advance has temporarily slowed down. According to a report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), no new successes of the Russian forces were detected toward Pokrovsk on November 9.
As a result, battles for control of the city continue, and both sides are trying to strengthen their positions. The situation remains tense, and regional authorities state the need for increased security measures to protect the civilian population.
