The forward for Scottish club Glasgow City tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) just minutes into the game. Her absence was keenly felt, as the Ukrainian women's national team went on to lose the match 1:6.

In other national team news, the match schedule for the Ukraine men's national team in the UEFA Nations League has been released. The men's side will begin their campaign with an away fixture against Hungary on September 25. Ukraine has been drawn in League B, Group 2, where their opponents will be:
