Detained saboteurs in Kyiv: received $1000 for the explosion via Telegram

According to Прокуратура Київ: Three young men were detained for committing a terrorist act in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv – they are being prepared for a notice of suspicion. One of them received an order to manufacture and install an explosive device for 1 thousand US dollars via Telegram. The customer provided the money and instructions on how to make the explosive.

The young man involved two of his friends in this matter. They built bombs in a rented apartment and installed them on a territory controlled by the National Guard in the Darnytskyi district. Later, they detonated them remotely.

Currently, the detained – boys aged 23, 25, and 27 – are being prepared for a notice of suspicion in a terrorist act committed in conspiracy, which caused the death of a person (part 3 of article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

If they are found guilty, they face imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years or even life imprisonment with confiscation of property. The investigation is being conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region with the support of the National Police. The case is being managed by prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

As a result of uncovering this situation, it was possible to prevent a terrorist act and protect citizens from danger. The successful joint search and detention of the suspects testify to the effective work of law enforcement agencies.
