Мешканець Чернігівської області отримав три роки ув’язнення за ухилення від відповідальності: як проходив процес.

According to glavcom.ua: A man from Chernihiv region has been sentenced to three years in prison for evading conscription, despite receiving several summons. He even wore a military uniform, ignoring the remarks of his fellow villagers.

The man, who was deemed fit for military service in 2022, evaded conscription in April 2024, citing the need to care for his sick mother with a second-degree disability.

“When the war began in 2022, I voluntarily went to defend my area. Even after the end of July 2022, my plans did not change – my mother was incapacitated and needed constant care,” said the defendant during the trial.

Despite the defendant's arguments, the court found that the man was guilty of evading conscription under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to three years of imprisonment.

After several summons and failure to comply with conscription, the man from Chernihiv region was sentenced to three years in prison for failing to respond to the military call. During the trial, the defendant claimed he could not leave his sick mother, but the court did not see this as a justified reason for evading service under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
