Subway service in Kharkiv resumed: what routes have changed due to the outage
This morning, November 10, the subway in Kharkiv temporarily stopped working due to power supply issues. However, train services have now been restored. This was reported by the Kharkiv Metro, citing information from Glavkom.
Train services on the subway lines have been restored. If the voltage drops below the permissible level, train services may be temporarily halted. We ask for your understanding and apologize for the temporary inconvenience!
If the subway continues to be non-operational, a temporary tram route No. 30 will be introduced, which will run from the 'Saltivske' turnaround to 'Kharkiv-Passazhyrskyi Station.'
Temporary bus and trolleybus routes
- 'Industrial' bus station - Heroes of Kharkiv Ave - Constitution Square;
- Victory Ave (trolleybus turnaround) - Constitution Square;
- Altered routes for buses No. 20, 22, 31, 33, 57, 62, 67, 68, 72, 96, 99, 109, 123, 128, 140, 243, 273;
- Altered routes for trolleybuses No. 11, 27.
Impact on other detour routes and transport movement
The interval for some bus and trolleybus routes has been significantly reduced. Some routes have temporarily changed their paths. Conversely, on certain routes, the intervals may increase.
Preliminarily, the cause of the power outage in many regions of Ukraine is damage to energy facilities due to Russian attacks.
Recently, during an interview with the President of Ukraine in the Mariinsky Palace, there was a sudden power outage, but after the backup generator was activated, the issue was resolved.
In Kharkiv, subway services have been temporarily halted due to power supply issues, but the situation is now under control; however, drivers are advised to consider possible changes in the movement of buses and trolleybuses. Such temporary disruptions are related to damages to energy facilities caused by Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
