According to glavcom.ua: Two lions escaped from a wildlife rehabilitation center in Khmelnytsky. According to preliminary reports, the animals broke free after unknown individuals damaged the locks on the enclosure. The director of the facility, Serhiy Palokhin, reported that he noticed the situation only in the morning.

One of the lionesses has been caught, while the second lion is still missing. Search operations are planned to involve a unit with drones for quick detection of the predator's whereabouts. The regional prosecutor's office has initiated a pre-trial investigation regarding violations of laws concerning animal cruelty.

Recently, a video surfaced online showing a child torturing a cat. This scene provoked outrage among animal rights activists and the police. In response to the criticism, the video's creator acknowledged her mistake and apologized. Additionally, she had a conversation with her daughter about proper interactions with animals.

In the city of Irpin, a woman left four pets unattended, which led to their deaths. For these actions, she faces imprisonment of up to eight years.
