Kyiv’s Cultural July Kicks Off with Concerts, Premieres, and Exhibitions
Kyiv Cultural Events Lineup: June 29 – July 5
According to Главком: From June 29 through July 5, Kyiv offers a packed schedule of cultural activities, including photography and porcelain exhibitions, theater premieres, concerts by well-known Ukrainian artists, and stand-up comedy shows.
A highlight is the 'Evacuation of Life' exhibition, focusing on animal rescues from frontline and de-occupied areas. Organized with the NGO Save Animals Ukraine, it runs from June 18 to July 5, open daily except Mondays, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (until 4:00 PM on Fridays). The display features 60 photographs taken between 2022 and 2025, hosted at the National Historical and Architectural Museum 'Kyiv Fortress' (24-A Hospitalna Street).
Additionally, the National Museum of Decorative Arts of Ukraine presents 'Peace to Heaven and Earth: A Porcelain Symphony of the Tregubov Family,' showcasing 377 pieces from the museum’s collection and the family archive. This exhibition runs until July 12. Mykola Tregubov (1922-2007), a Honored Artist of Ukraine and Taras Shevchenko National Prize laureate, was a sculptor at the Korosten Porcelain Factory.
At the National Museum 'Kyiv Picture Gallery,' the exhibition 'Kherson. Shovkunenko. Rescued' features nine paintings that survived the 2022 Russian occupation of Kherson without being looted. It remains open until July 26.
Theater and Music Events
Notable theater performances include 'Patches of Songs and Destiny,' honoring Ivan Mykolaichuk’s 85th birthday, on June 28 at 6:00 PM at the Berehynia Theatre. On July 1 at 6:00 PM, the Officers’ House of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hosts the premiere of 'The Konotop Witch,' directed by Dmytro Rachkovsky, while the Actor Theatre presents 'All My Exes,' based on Cyril Garwood’s play.
In music, Taras Petrynenko and Tetiana Horobets perform on July 2 at 7:00 PM at the MCKM (Zhovtnevyi Palace), accompanied by the band Hrono. On July 3, Pavlo Zibrov takes the stage at Feels Garden at 8:00 PM (doors open at 6:00 PM), and Vitaliy Kozlovsky plays at Osocor Residence at 7:00 PM. On July 5, Skofka performs at Feels Garden at 7:00 PM.
The stand-up lineup includes two shows: 'Not a Problem' by the Brodyachiy Stand-Up project on July 2 at 7:30 PM at Bochka Pub, featuring comedians Vova Shumko, Bohdan Bohachenko, and Vova Maslov; and 'Funny Seven' on July 4 at 4:30 PM at the same venue, hosted by Ihnat Mykhailiuk, with Bohdan Bohachenko, Bohdan Boiaryn, Denys Hnatiuk, Mark Ilchuk, Vova Linnik, and Den Che.
