In Kyiv, a patient died as a result of a Russian attack on a clinic: details of the tragedy
Tragedy in Kyiv
According to Прокуратура Київ: On January 5, 2026, in Kyiv, in the Obolon district, a 30-year-old patient died as a result of a Russian Federation attack on a private medical clinic. This tragedy also led to the injury of three other people.
The Injured
Among the injured:
- two women, aged 97 and 77, poisoned by combustion products and were transferred to other medical facilities for necessary medical assistance;
- a 42-year-old woman who received assistance at the scene.
As a result of this incident, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated for a war crime under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is being conducted by the Main Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
This attack is part of a broader conflict situation between Ukraine and the Russian Federation that has been ongoing since 2014. Attacks on civilian facilities, such as medical institutions, provoke international outrage and highlight the humanitarian consequences of war.
