Kobzar Trinity Festival

On the same day, the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Folkways of Ukraine will host the Kobzar Trinity Festival. The event program will include:

  • workshops on crafting kobzar instruments
  • traditional kobzar performances throughout the skansen
  • stories about the customs of Klechalna Saturday
  • a major concert featuring kobzars, lyrnyks, and bandurists at the Singing Field

Kyiv Day is also celebrated on the last Sunday of May, but this year large-scale public festivities are not planned due to security concerns. As a result, residents and visitors of the capital can enjoy cultural activities at the Kobzar Trinity Festival held at the National Museum, and use the new bus Route No. 58 for convenient access to the event venue.

The introduction of new bus Route No. 58 in Kyiv makes it easier to reach cultural events, which may be especially relevant given restrictions on mass gatherings. The Kobzar Trinity Festival offers a way to celebrate Ukrainian culture and traditions, despite the absence of large-scale Kyiv Day celebrations. It also represents a significant step in reviving the city’s cultural life and attracting visitors to museums and festivals, helping to promote Ukraine’s heritage.

As Kyiv embraces new cultural initiatives, the city is also preparing for its 1,544th anniversary celebrations, despite ongoing martial law. This significant milestone will be marked with a variety of events that showcase the resilience and spirit of the capital.
