Німеччина затримала російських агентів, які нібито планували напад на постачальника дронів для України.

Arrests Made in Germany

According to Главком: German authorities have arrested two individuals on suspicion of spying for Russia. The suspects, a 43-year-old Ukrainian man and a 45-year-old Romanian woman, are accused of planning a potential attack on a manufacturer of drones for Ukraine. Germany's Federal Public Prosecutor issued arrest warrants for the pair, who are alleged to have conducted long-term surveillance of the company's facilities and its owner, mapping locations and gathering information on his residence.

The woman was apprehended in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, while the man was detained in Spain at the request of German officials. According to available information, the suspects' actions may have been preparatory work for future attacks or acts of sabotage. They have been formally charged with espionage and are awaiting a court hearing to determine pre-trial detention measures. The extradition of one suspect to Germany is currently under consideration.

Enterprise Security and Broader Threats

The name of the targeted entrepreneur and his company have not been disclosed for security reasons. It is known that the businessman had implemented additional protective measures due to risks associated with his activities. This incident follows a pattern of Russian intelligence operations targeting Ukraine's defense industry. In a related case, Ukraine's Security Service previously exposed and detained a serviceman from the Armed Forces' Drone Systems unit who was collaborating with Russian and Belarusian intelligence, passing information about Ukrainian units.

The arrests in Germany underscore the persistent threat of espionage linked to Russian aggression, particularly concerning support for Ukraine. Given the documented activity of Russian intelligence services across Europe, such cases impact not only individual corporate security but also the broader regional stability. The surveillance of firms involved in military technology highlights ongoing international security challenges, necessitating coordinated efforts among nations to counter these threats.
