Polish streamer Nazar detained: accused of hate and promoting symbols of aggression
A 44-year-old man was stopped by the police on Friday, October 31. A narcotic substance tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), found in cannabis, was detected in his system. In total, several charges were brought against him: threats, promoting violence, calls for hatred on national and religious grounds, as well as promoting symbols that support Russian aggression against Ukraine and the illegal disclosure of personal data.
Polish streamer and activist Pavel N., better known as Nazar, was detained by law enforcement officials. Among the accusations are inciting hatred on national and religious grounds. This was reported by 'Glavcom' citing Rmf24.
In Przemyśl, the Polish police detained individuals who tore down the Ukrainian flag from the residence of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Przemyśl. Law enforcement identified and arrested two men - residents of Przemyśl aged 21 and 23.
The Polish police recorded a significant increase in hate crimes against Ukrainians. According to Polish law enforcement, between January and July 2025, 543 hate crimes were recorded, which is 41% more than in the same period of 2024 when 384 such incidents were registered.
The events that occurred in Poland indicate an escalation of the problem of open propaganda of violence and calls for hatred in society. The recorded increase in hate crimes against Ukrainians raises serious concern and the need for coordinated actions by the authorities and the public to prevent similar incidents in the future.
