Arsonist of cars with Ukrainian license plates detained in Poland: what is known about him
According to glavcom.ua: The police of the Pomeranian Voivodeship detained a 42-year-old man who set fire to several dozen cars with Ukrainian license plates. According to the police press service, local law enforcement received reports of fires involving vehicles with Ukrainian license plates as early as June this year.
The criminal's intention was to destroy cars with Ukrainian license plates, but, as noted, he set fire to cars with Polish license plates. The evidence collected by the police allowed the man to be charged with the destruction of vehicles, with damages estimated at no less than 262 thousand zlotys.
The police were able to identify those involved in the arsons and detained one of them - a 42-year-old resident of Gdansk. During a search of the criminal's apartment, substances intended for the manufacture of explosives were found. The criminal has been charged with property destruction, for which he may face imprisonment for up to five years. The court applied a preventive measure in the form of a three-month arrest to the suspect.
Ukrainian license plates have become the object of arsons in Poland, where the car arsonist was detained. The man could join the ranks of prisoners responsible for vehicle arson and face punishment for his criminal actions.
