Crimes Against Ukrainians in Poland Increased by 41%: What is Happening
The number of crimes motivated by hate against Ukrainians is significantly increasing in Poland. According to police data, 543 such crimes were recorded since the beginning of 2025, which is 41% more than in the same period last year.
The most common offenses are threats of violence. Physical attacks and acts of violence have increased by 73%, and there are also more robberies and harassment of Ukrainians.

A university professor pointed out that economic instability and the political situation in the country also incite aggression against Ukrainians. He called for measures to protect citizens and democratic values.
The state must stop concessions to extremist groups and take responsibility for the security of public discourse, emphasized the police spokesperson.
It is added that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland has started debates on strengthening citizenship and repatriation procedures to ensure safety for all applicants. The country's tax service has also increased control over money transfers for Ukrainians and taken steps against the blocking of their accounts in Poland.
